Product description
This is a Wafer Disc Check Valve with compact design suitable for tight spaces and light weight piping systems. These are available in size range from 1.5 inch to 6 inches and more size subject to availability in both material CF8 (SS304) & CF8M (SS316).
A disc check valve, also known as a silent check valve or axial flow check valve, is designed to allow fluid flow in one direction and prevent backflow. It uses a disc or wafer mechanism to control flow and is commonly used in various industrial applications due to its simplicity and reliability.
Key Features and Benefits
- Compact Design: The disc check valve has a slim, compact design, making it suitable for installations with limited space.
- Low Pressure Drop: The streamlined design minimizes pressure drop across the valve, making it efficient for fluid flow.
- Silent Operation: The quick closure of the disc prevents water hammer and provides quiet operation.
- Versatility: Suitable for a wide range of fluids, including water, gas, steam, and certain chemicals.
- Ease of Maintenance: Fewer moving parts and a straightforward design make maintenance relatively simple.
Working of the Disc Check Valve
- Forward Flow: When fluid flows in the intended direction, the disc is lifted off its seat, allowing fluid to pass through the valve.
- Reverse Flow: When fluid attempts to flow backward, the disc is pushed against the seat, creating a seal that prevents backflow.
We at Eska group are manufacturers of industrial valves and give complete solution towards valve automation with our imported actuators under our registered brand name ATORQ.
